Logan Creek Decolonization Project Journal https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP
This journal documents the ongoing botanical decolonization and re-indigenization of Logan Creek, on the KPU Langley Campus. We use names in the Hǝn̓q̓ǝmin̓ǝm̓ dialect, which is spoken in the Lower Mainland by the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) at the mouth of the Fraser River, and upriver to the Kwantlen First Nation at Fort Langley. Our intention is to develop biographies for significant food, medicinal, and technology plants used by the Kwantlen First Nation, which can be developed into signage for the site. nə́c̓amət ct (we are one).
en-US kathy.dunster@kpu.ca (Kathy Dunster) kathy.dunster@kpu.ca (Kathy Dunster) Thu, 25 Apr 2019 00:00:00 -0700 OJS 3.1.2.1 http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss 60 Introduction Volume 2 (1) https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/401
A brief introduction to the journal, this issue, and the people involved: HORT4231 Riparian Management, Spring 2019.
Kathy Dunster Copyright (c) 2019 Kathy Dunster https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/401 Wed, 24 Apr 2019 00:00:00 -0700 Acer macrophyllum Pursh. | bigleaf maple | ts’áłəłp https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/398
An article about the biology, growing environment, reproduction, and uses of bigleaf maple.
Richard Wong Copyright (c) 2019 Richard Wong https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/398 Wed, 24 Apr 2019 00:00:00 -0700 Cornus sericea L. | red-osier dogwood | sha'alʔәłp https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/367
This article is about Cornus sericea and includes identifying characteristics, ethnobotanical details, natural distribution, and cultivation.
David Epp Copyright (c) 2019 David Epp https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/367 Thu, 25 Apr 2019 03:02:57 -0700 Crataegus douglasii Lindl. | black hawthorn | metthun’uÏp https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/365
This article is about Crataegus douglasii Lindl. and includes identifying characteristics, ethnobotanical details, natural distribution, and cultivation.
Lisa Burgess-Parker Copyright (c) 2019 Lisa Burgess-Parker https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/365 Thu, 25 Apr 2019 03:04:34 -0700 Juniperus communis L. | common juniper | t’thəl’tth'e'ltəl https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/370
This article is about Juniperus communis and includes identifying characteristics, ethnobotanical details, natural distribution, cultivation, and a gin recipe.
Eryn D.
