We use names in the Hǝn̓q̓ǝmin̓ǝm̓ dialect, which is spoken in the Lower Mainland by the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) at the mouth of the Fraser River, and upriver to the Kwantlen First Nation at Fort Langley. Our intention is to develop biographies for significant food, medicinal, and technology plants used by the Kwantlen First Nation, which can be developed into signage for the site. nə́c̓amət ct (we are one).
https://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/401Introduction Volume 2 (1)2019-04-25T03:26:08-07:00Kathy Dunsterkathy.dunster@kpu.ca
A brief introduction to the journal, this issue, and the people involved: HORT4231 Riparian Management, Spring 2019.
2019-04-24T00:00:00-07:00Copyright (c) 2019 Kathy Dunsterhttps://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/398Acer macrophyllum Pursh. | bigleaf maple | ts’áłəłp2019-06-12T07:20:30-07:00Richard Wongchingwahrichard.wong@email.kpu.ca
An article about the biology, growing environment, reproduction, and uses of bigleaf maple.
2019-04-24T00:00:00-07:00Copyright (c) 2019 Richard Wonghttps://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/367Cornus sericea L. | red-osier dogwood | sha'alʔәłp2019-06-12T07:33:42-07:00David Eppdavidhepp94@gmail.com
This article is about Cornus sericea and includes identifying characteristics, ethnobotanical details, natural distribution, and cultivation.
2019-04-25T03:02:57-07:00Copyright (c) 2019 David Epphttps://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/365Crataegus douglasii Lindl. | black hawthorn | metthun’uÏp2019-06-12T09:08:37-07:00Lisa Burgess-Parkerlisa.burgessparker@email.kpu.ca
This article is about Crataegus douglasii Lindl. and includes identifying characteristics, ethnobotanical details, natural distribution, and cultivation.
2019-04-25T03:04:34-07:00Copyright (c) 2019 Lisa Burgess-Parkerhttps://journals.kpu.ca/index.php/LCDP/article/view/370Juniperus communis L. | common juniper | t’thəl’tth'e'ltəl 2019-06-12T09:17:56-07:00Eryn D.
